All things 2020 considered, this year has been a good thing for Martha Stewart. From debuting a hit HGTV series and marking the 30th anniversary of her eponymous magazine to posting the perfect thirst trap and launching a CBD brand, life for the lifestyle legend is better than ever.

“When I created this new line of CBD products, it was important that the assortment be delicious and elegant, but also affordable and accessible,” Stewart, who’s remained extremely hands-on since the brand’s inception two years ago, shared in a statement. “It is easier than ever to treat yourself and your loved ones to the wellness benefits of CBD and my new gummy sampler, inspired by flavors from my garden, makes the perfect holiday gift this season.”

Seth Rogen and longtime writing partner Evan Goldberg came up with Houseplant, a recreational Canadian marijuana company. “Houseplant is a passion we’ve brought to life through drive and dedication,” Rogen said in a press release. “Every decision we’ve made for the business reflects the years of education, first-hand experience and respect we have for cannabis.”

The result of years of experience and dedication, Houseplant is backed in collaboration with the Ontario-based grower Canopy Growth. Rogen explained that Houseplant is not only about creating high quality products, but it’s also about helping consumers understand cannabis on a deeper level.

Seattle SuperSonics legend Shawn Kemp was officially in the cannabis business in later Oct. 2020.

Kemp’s store was one of the few cannabis shops in the Seattle metro area and all of Washington to have Black ownership. Black people and other minorities have been historically underrepresented in the legal pot industry.

"My name is on this company and I have worked hard to bring Shawn Kemp’s Cannabis to fruition,” Kemp said. “I want to provide nothing short of the best selection, customer experience and prices in Seattle.”
